About Us

Welcome to the Signal Processing Symposium (SPSYMPO) 2027.

SPSYMPO is a premier international forum for researchers, engineers, and scientists to present and discuss the latest advances, trends, and challenges in signal processing. The symposium fosters collaboration and knowledge sharing across academia and industry.

Our Mission

To promote the dissemination of cutting-edge research in signal processing and to provide an engaging environment for networking and professional growth.

History

The idea of the Signal Processing Symposium arose in 2003 during the 12th IEEE-SPIE Symposium on Advanced Electronics. There, Prof. Krzysztof Kulpa - the Honorary Symposium Chair of SPSympo-2025 - organized and chaired the Digital Signal Processing and Radar Signal Processing Session. Two years later, the first Signal Processing Symposium was organized independently of the SPIE Symposium. This was Prof. Kulpa’s initiative undertaken in a collaboration with the Radiolocation and Digital Signal Processing Students’ Research Group of Warsaw University of Technology.

The conference has over twenty years of tradition. It’s taken place in multiple locations in Europe, including Warsaw, Vilnius, and Krakow. Here are all the previous locations:
